Arts for Youth and Community: A New Chapter Begins

Lisa Baehre • May 1, 2026

The Sandler Center Foundation has been quietly evolving over the past few years away from the bricks‑and‑mortar campaign that created us — listening deeply, strengthening our structure, expanding our partnerships, and reimagining how the arts can support the next generation of people who will perform on the Sandler Center stage and beyond.

One thing has become clear: Children need more creativity, more connection, and fewer hours behind a screen. And children aren’t the only ones who need less screen time. Screens are passive. The arts are alive.

So we’re leaning forward with a renewed focus: Letting education be fun again — through the arts.

We’re expanding programs, reaching more youth, and building a stronger ecosystem of artists, educators, and community partners. Today, we’re starting this new chapter by unveiling our refreshed logo and tagline:

Arts for Youth and Community

It reflects who we are now — and where we’re headed. And this is just the beginning.

Follow Along This Summer

We have a major announcement coming this fall that will shape the future of arts access for young people in our region. Until then, we invite you to follow along as we share more about our evolution, our impact, and the work happening behind the scenes.

A new season is beginning. And we’re just getting started.
