OTR End of Year Impact Summary

As the year draws to a close, we at the Sandler Center Foundation (SCF) are filled with gratitude, optimism, and big dreams for the future. SCF doesn't believe in one-time charity—we believe in empowering our Coastal Virginia community through performing arts programs that have a lasting, meaningful impact.

On The Road End Of Year Impact Summary
Celebrate Today

This year, we reached exciting new milestones with our "On the Road" (OTR) initiative. In collaboration with Richmond Ballet, we brought education-oriented performances directly to 16 Virginia Beach City Public Schools, including 13 Title I schools, impacting nearly 4,000 students  – more than three times the number of kids that can sit in the Sandler Center!

Students were captivated by the Richmond Ballet’s adaptation of Cinderella, performed for K-5th graders. The performance was narrated to reinforce communication skills, aligned with Standards of Learning (SOL-aligned), and supported by new activity guides for teachers to extend the learning experience.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible!

Hope for Tomorrow

Through programs like OTR, we’re fostering lifelong skills, creativity, and resilience in children. These are the leaders, artists, and changemakers of tomorrow. It is our goal to ensure someone takes the stage at Coastal Virginia’s premier venues in the next decade—that is the core of our work today.

We are DREAMING BIG! SCF envisions a vibrant future where the performing arts continue to enrich lives, build confidence, and spark imagination.

Thank you for being an essential part of our SCF family. Together, we can celebrate today, hope for tomorrow, and dream big for the next generation.

Warm regards,
